Man City transfer target Gianluigi Donnarumma is demanding a salary of £250,000 a week, according to reports.
ESPN revealed the details of the Italian international’s wage demands and his £25m to £35m price tag.
Most fans on X are questioning whether Donnarumma is worth the substantial outlay:
250k a week?
Wow….
Add in his clause that if doesn’t keep a clean sheet in 20games it will be reduced to 150k from next season— Stephen Walker (@realzehor) August 15, 2025

The City target has been linked with other Premier League teams
Donnarumma’s agent has stated that a move to England is the “best step” for the goalkeeper, and that has reportedly sparked the interest of several clubs.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been mentioned as potential suitors for Donnarumma but it is believed that City are the only ones who have submitted a formal enquiry.
Donnarumma’s arrival may hinge on Ederson
It looks like any official bid for the 26-year-old will be determined by the future of City’s current number one.
Like Donnarumma, Ederson has less than a year left on his contract and Turkish champions Galatasaray are said to be keen on securing his services.
It is believed that the Cityzens are willing to let the Brazilian leave if they receive a fee in the region of £13m to £15m. It remains to be seen if Galatasaray or any other team are prepared to match the valuation.
