Bernardo Silva is “considering” whether to leave Man City for Saudi Arabia next summer, according to reports.

The Portuguese international’s contract expires at the end of the season and talkSPORT claims he will have at least two offers from Saudi Pro League teams.

Al Hilal tried to sign Silva two years ago, but it is believed that Al-Ahli and Al Qadsiah are the two clubs who are now likely to propose lucrative contracts to the player.

The 31-year-old has won six Premier League titles since arriving from Monaco in the summer of 2017, but he has weighed up leaving the Etihad Stadium in previous summers.

With Silva’s current deal nearing its end, the player may see it as the right time to end his association with the Cityzens and depart on a free transfer.

Silva is still a key player for Guardiola

The attacking midfielder was handed the captain’s armband by manager Pep Guardiola at the start of the season, and he has started 5 of City’s 7 matches in all competitions.

Silva is undoubtedly one of the leaders in the dressing room, and he is also one of the most decorated in terms of trophies won. In addition to the 6 league titles, he has lifted the Champions League, the FA Cup on 2 occasions, the Carabao Cup on 4 occasions, the Community Shield on 3 occasions and the Club World Cup.

The Man City star could be joined by a compatriot in Saudi Arabia

Silva is not the only Portuguese player who could be making the trip to the Middle East from the Premier League next year.

TalkSPORT report that Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is being targeted by Al-Nassr, and they claim both players will consider leaving their respective teams after participating in the 2026 World Cup.
