The Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been a tournament full of twists, turns and player movements across franchises. Over the years, many players have switched teams, leaving behind old colours to embrace new challenges.
As Gujarat Titans (GT) gets ready to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 51 of IPL 2025, at the grand Narendra Modi Stadium on May 2, it is the perfect time to revisit the players who have been part of both camps.
5 Players who have played for both GT and SRH in IPL
1. Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan, the Afghan leg-spinner, has been a pivotal figure in the IPL. He began his IPL journey with SRH in 2017, where he quickly became one of the league’s most sought-after bowlers. The leg-spinner was a crucial part of SRH’s journey to the finals in 2018. In the 2022 auction, Rashid made a significant move to GT, joining them as the vice-captain. His leadership and exceptional bowling skills have been instrumental in GT’s success. Rashid also has a brilliant ability to grab quick runs down the order with his power-hitting skills.
2. Mohammed Siraj
The Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj is another name on the list. Siraj debuted with SRH in 2017 and was later signed by GT in the 2025 auction for a whopping ₹12.25 crore. He has been one of the most improved bowlers in the IPL. Siraj’s evolution from a raw talent at SRH to a leader of GT’s pace attack highlights his resilience. His ability to generate zip and movement, especially with the new ball, has made him a high-impact player for GT, cementing his status as one of India’s finest white-ball bowlers.
3. Mohammed Shami
Another premier fast bowler, Mohammed Shami, is third on the list. Shami’s searing pace and pinpoint accuracy have made him a vital cog in any bowling attack. The pacer was part of GT from 2022 to 2024, and in 2025, he was signed by SRH in the auction for ₹10 crore. So far in the IPL, Shami has taken 133 wickets in 188 matches, with an economy rate of 8.58.

He was part of SRH from 2013 to 2015, where he took wickets consistently with his ability to extract bounce. In 2025, he joined GT in the auction, forming a formidable pace trio alongside Siraj and Prasidh Krishna.
5. Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar, the off-spinning all-rounder, has been an asset for both SRH and GT. With SRH from 2022 to 2024, he played 18 matches, taking 10 wickets while contributing useful runs lower down the order. In 2025, Sundar joined GT and made an immediate impact. In a match against SRH, he scored a brisk 49 off 29 balls, stitching a 90-run stand with Shubman Gill to guide GT to a seven-wicket victory.
