Nitish Kumar Reddy ruled out the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy

Recently, the 22-year-old all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy suffered a knee injury, which ruled him out of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 against England.

He picked up the knee injury while doing mobility training in the gym, and later the scans revealed he had damaged his ligament. The all-rounder had to fly back home and miss the last two Test matches against the English team.

Before being ruled out, Reddy had played two out of three matches for India in the series and was likely to feature in the last two games as well.

In the second Test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham, he scored 1 & 1 while returning with bowling figures of 0/29. Also, in the subsequent Test match at Lord’s in London, he registered scores of 30 & 13 and bowling figures of 2/62 & 1/20.

According to a report in India Today, Reddy’s former agent has filed a petition against him, seeking over INR 5 crore in unpaid dues.

The relationship between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Square The One – the agency – “broke down” during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia, where the all-rounder made his Test debut.

After that, the all-rounder decided to sign a deal with a new manager, who was also representing another Indian star on the same tour.

The Delhi High Court is officially expected to hear the matter on July 28, as the Player management agency Square The One Private Limited has filed a petition under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, alleging breach of the management agreement and non-payment of dues.

Nitish refused to pay any money and claimed he had secured the deals himself – Report

The petition filed by the agency requests the appointment of an independent arbitrator to adjudicate claims related to the alleged unlawful breach of contract by Nitish Kumar Reddy and the non-payment of contractual dues owed to him.

Reportedly, Reddy has clearly said ‘No’ to paying money to Square The One because he claims that he has secured all the deals himself, but the agency, which represented the all-rounder since 2021, claims they facilitated multiple brand endorsements and commercial partnerships for the player.

“Ninety percent of such disputes do not reach court and are resolved privately. But in this case, Nitish refused to pay any money and claimed he had secured the deals himself,” a source said on condition of anonymity, as quoted by India Today.
